Sen10r Pictures

I went to the Bryan/College Station this weekend to stay with my brother and get my senior pictures taken, I can’t believe I’m finally about to graduate. Well, we took a TON of pictures, and here are just a few of my favorites. I really wasn’t expecting them to be as good as they were, be sure to let me know what you think with some comment love.
Those are just a small few of the tons we took, if you like them, and want to hire him for seniors, he’s 100 bucks an hour, and unlike other photographers, he gives you all rights to your pictures, so you can post them anywhere, like me posting them on here. If you’re interested, let me know.

Well, we just counted. & We’ve taken about 500 pictures… so it’s going to take us a while to upload the best. So, stay around, and keep checking back!
Hey Cupcake!
Feb 1st
I have vital information of the up-most importance to discuss with you today. As all of you know, I’ve been on some adventures to Austin, Texas lately to explore my home town. Well, I asked around and got some directions on some places that I have to try out that are very Austin famous. I’m just going to talk about one of those today, the most important, so far. Imagine a world where any driver can pull over in the middle of the city and to find a trailer with a giant rotating cupcake on top of it where you exchange a simple 2.50 and receive a little taste of heaven. I would say that they are just cupcakes, but it’s almost like the bakers beat down baby angels and baked them into flawless little cakes and topped them with orgasmic home-made toppings. I can’t wait to head over to “Hey Cupcake!” and pick up my red-velvet lovers after my first day of class. Well, that is all for now friends and readers.

Dear faithful readers,
I’m very glad you decided to visit me today. If you are in hopes of another adventurous weekend with Mr. Rustin Charles, I’m sorry to disappoint. I’m going to be spending the large part of the weekend without leaving town. In fact, I’m not even going to get out of my pajamas until at least 8 o clock. & that’s only if something sounds interesting enough to rip me out of my nerdy lifestyle.
So lets start with how the weekend kicked off. As soon as I got home at 3 on Friday, I passed out. I didn’t wake up till about 7:30. Man, did that mess up my circadian rhythm. So, I went and bought the entire first season of Glee. Now I know what your thinking, faithful reader; “But Rustin, your tweets have never said anything about liking glee.” Well, I bought it on a whim. In fact, I’ve never even seen an episode. So the adventure begins.
I called up the crew and we all got together for the first episode. I like. A lot. Well, I ended up staying awake till about 4:30 in the morning, just watching this show. Today, I’ve got to make up for the production I lost yesterday. So today is devoted to sweatpants, scholarships, and books. I’m going to do my best not to leave town, even though I would massacre small children for a Venti Iced White mocha, 4 pumps instead of 6, no whip.
Well, I suppose I should get started on these essay applications, but before I go I need you guy’s input on something. I’m going down to Austin, Texas to take my senior pictures, I want some killer ideas of places to go and things to do when I’m down there. So leave me some comment love and let me know, alright loves? See you tomorrow.

School is basically Hell on earth for me right now, I kind of hate everything about it, and I’m trying my best to keep from stressing out, so I decided to take a mini-vacation. Friday night, about 9, I packed my bag and hit the road for College Station, Texas to crash at Brent and Lauren’s place, not really sure what was going to happen. I arrived at about 11:45 and we grabbed some Taco Bell and played a little Left 4 Dead 2. I know, my Friday kicked your Friday’s ass.
Well, Saturday morning Alex M. came in to talk to Brent and Lauren a bit, and they ended up doing a little photo shoot. So, I grabbed Brent’s amazing camera and decided to pretend like I’m a photographer. I actually got a few cool shots of them. I liked the idea of taking pictures of taking pictures.
After Alex left we got our GPS, Domo Doll, and some Subway and hit the road for Austin. I gave Brent and Lauren a tour of my future campus and we found this pretty cool fountain, so we decided to have a mini photo shoot.
After we got done with campus, it was about time for dinner, so Lauren called her Sister, Kristen, and her husband, Justin, who live in Austin to see if they wanted to grab some food. I wasn’t to sure how much fn this was going to be, since I’ve never really hung out with Kristen and Justin outside of family gatherings, but it turns out that Kristen is just like Lauren, and Justin is freaking hilarious. After some killer food and some amazing cupcakes we went back to College Station and fell asleep.
It was a really, really eventful day, even if it dosen’t sound like it. So when I woke up this morning we got some Arbys, and I hit the road back to henderson. Three hours later I was in my shower and getting ready to work on my essay that’s due tomorrow. And now here I am, writing to you guys.
Hello Seatlle, I am a mountaineer.

So this morning, my GAP group presented our project. I believe it went well, we had a few bumps, and left out a few things, but all-in-all it was a good mixture of information and entrainment. Now, all i have to do is write the essay and I’m done, I’m going to take tonight off and work on it tomorrow on account of I am sick of this freaking project. In other news, I’ve been looking at plane tickets for my spring break, and it’s only gonna cost me about 300 bucks to get to Seattle and back, not bad at all. I can’t wait to hit the slopes for the last time, till next winter break. I’m pretty excited to check out the Bungie workplace, too. Well, I should go get something done, I’ll write later, bye!
Why I’ve been MIA.
Jan 17th

If you’ve been wondering why I haven’t posted in about a week or so, you’re about to find out. At good ole’ Henderson High, AP English IV Seniors have a special project known as GAP. If you’re a follower of mine on twitter, or my facebook friend, you know that basically every tweet in the past two weeks has “GAP” in it.
So what is GAP? Group Analysis Project. We get placed into groups and as a group we choose a book from the AP reading list. Then we have a few weeks to come up with an entertaining and informative, AP level 40 minute presentation that allows all watchers to understand the book, inside and out. Sound easy? Think again.
Lucky for me, I got a really good group of fun people in my group. Unfortunately for me, we get along so well, we sometimes forget to work. So, my whole life lately has been devoted to this project, why? Because it’s basically half of our grade, if not more.
So, I’m going to upload some of the videos I’ve been directing/editing when I get done with them for you guys to see. Oh I forgot to mention, each of us also have to turn in a 5 page critical essay. That part is not very fun, at all. In fact, I’ve got it open right now, and I’m going to return to it as soon as I finish this blog.
Oh, and I want to give a special shout out to Tiffany Hughes for letting me borrow the book “Witch & Wizard” by James Patterson which I read over the weekend. If you’re into fantasy fiction, you might enjoy it, but it’s an easy read, nothing super impressive. If any of you decide to read it, let me know what you think.
Break up? No.
Jan 11th
So it’s around eleven on a Sunday night, & what am I doing? Not doing the work I should be, instead I’m here again, writing to you guys. I don’t even know who “you guys” are, but I think we have a special bond, ya know? It’s kind of like we’re in a relationship. I write, you read. I like that about you. I really do. You’re beautiful.
So, on a less idiotic note, here’s what I wanted to talk about tonight. Everyone has a breaking point. You know? The point where the whole freaking world is about to come crushing down on you and you’re forced to scream expletives to random drivers who change lanes with no blinkers, even though nobody was in any real danger, but you felt the need to scream at them anyway. You know those moments? Well, those are the moments I want to talk about.
What do they accomplish? Nothing. You don’t feel better after you break down, you feel like shit. So what’s the point? Why do you do it? For attention or just because your body won’t let you do anything anymore? Here’s my advice, take a hot, and I mean searing freaking hot, shower. Grab a glass of water, and sit down, for about 5 minutes. turn you’re cell phone/ipod/everything off and just collect your thoughts. I promise you you’ll feel better.
With thoughts collected, getting the things you need to get done seem a lot more focused, the things that aren’t worth worrying about seem to go away, and the problems that are unavoidable seem easier to face; so there you go. I hope it helps, honestly. I want you to be happy, you know, since we’re kind of together and all. I love you.
Disco Who?
Jan 9th
First of all, it is finally Friday, & the weekend. I’m going to spend my weekend doing work, gonna be freaking awesome. Only minus the awesome, I’m ready to graduate, for real. Tonight, a bunch of my friends got together and some of the girls cooked for us, the guys had fun with making the Twilight cut-outs a bit homosexual and we nearly got kicked outta Wal-Mart, so that was pretty cool, but now, I’m in Tyler. I just like to drive over here sometimes, reminds me that the world is bigger than little ole’ Henderson. Maybe Jyssica will grace me with her awesomeness before I head home. Now that You’ve been updated on my day, lets get to the really interesting stuff.
Working on all of this crazy curriculum, I needed some new music to help me keep sane while I study, so I got to downloading some random bands using the “listeners also bought” tool and found some good music. But there is a certain band I want to talk about for a second named Disco Curtis. Now, I was first introduced to these guys by Deeds. I really liked their catchy upbeat music, but they have more than music going on for them in my favor. They are really, really chill and down-to-earth guys. Deeds has actually hung out with them and I’ve had a few short conversations with them on twitter. They just had a big break with Myspace Records and released a music video for their single “Ashley”. Check them out, comment with your thoughts, or a band you’d like to feature.
cold.
Jan 7th
Hey guys, just wanted to post a quick update, and let you guys know that the weather in Texas is quite the opposite of what it should be based on stereotypes, it’s freaking cold here. Basically almost as cold as it was in CO. It’s supposed to be 12 degrees tonight. All I’m saying is that if the roads freeze, school can suck it. I’m not gonna go. Not because I can’t get there, 4wd jeep can get me there. But because I can’t get out of bed in the cold.
(Kelsey Ricks, Stella Vay, RCLow, Tracy Elder, and Jared Jones)
In honor of the cold weather, over half of my Bio II class was wearing peacoats today, and since they decided that they wanted to be mentioned on my blog, I’ve decided to honor their wishes. :) baha. Hope you can excuse the picture quality, its just taken from my iPhone. Phones can never really capture the whole thing, even the apple phones. Shame.
